Dovii differences?

Can someone please help explain to me the differences between the Costa Rican and Nicaraguan Dovii morphs? I've heard that body shape is different?

I am looking at buying some Dovii fry and they are labled F1 Costa Rocan gold Dovii? The parents look normal to me (very nice though).

Any info would be appreciated!

u should do a search and this topic has been beaten to death....but...i will answer ur questions

costa rican dovii is brownish/gold in color
nic...dovii is more colorful turquoise also more common

both have same shape/body/fins.

I think my old Dovii was a Nic...he was very blue/purple/green. Do you have any good pics of your CR? I have a chance to buy some nice F1 CR fry, but would like to see what they may turn into first.

Here was my male that recently passed. What do you think he was? I want one similar to him. He had a ton of blues, greens, and purples...but also had a goldish base color.

I think there is more difference between the females. I brought back a WC Dovii from Costa Rica and purchased a Nic Dovii from Rapps. No difference at all. My female from CR is more gold than the one from Nicaragua. Just my observation as I have both right now.
