Dovii don't come from Ecuador...or south america for that matter. They are central American from Costa Rica and Nicaragua mostly.

yep I have to agree with this.

Something with the coloration tells me its most likely Costa Rican (coz of the yellow) ?

The lighting caused yellow/green effect on the pics. In person, it doesn't have that color. Will update with better pics as i don't use light on my tank.

The seller also showed me a pic of an adult from the same batch caught that Jeff Rapps sent him. Will upload it next as it's on my phone.

here's the pic of an adult dovii caught in the same batch, it has the best looking shape of a wild caught dovii. i will be super happy if mine turned out looking like that

about the fish's origination, the information must had been provided to the seller because I believe there's no way he could/would come up with that Ecuador location...even google doesn't have any dovii from Ecuador!

Good find especially if it's a yellow costa rican, but either way still a good deal for a wc of that size
