Side Note. I went to the Pittsburgh Zoo a couple months back and they have a Male Dovi thats pushing 24 to 26 inches. I didnt beleive they could get that big. I had heard they could, but I had to see it with my own eyes!

I dont think that is normal at all though I had a breeding pair wild caught I got from Jeff Rapps like 8 years ago and the male maxed at like 16 and a half! Mean bastard to killed the female one day for no reason, and then dragged her carcas around the tank.
I started mine in a 75 and moved up! I just hated how they kill everything. Epic battle between that Dovi and my old Red Devil they fought till the death. Dovi took him out, and the devil was my favorite fish back then! Dovi's really are straight beast!
thats why i love them when this little guy of mine attached the goldfish in his tank after 4 seconds, no joke, i was head over heals. but i also have the ploy fever lol
Yea dude my brother started his pair out in a 55, and went to 75 after like 9 months and so on. But if you already got a 240 I would put like a big group in there and see which ones grow out and take over that would be sweet!
