Yea, 240 is fine. Just always give the female many retreats from the male.

got my male in a 30 right now at 2.5 or 3''. hopefully but the end of October he will be in a 240

29 Gallon is fine for now! We kept all the fry in 40 breeders for months! Yea if you don't find a good deal, I would go with the 4 by 18! 75 gallon is a great starter tank for cichlids and so many people have them you can find them cheap! 240 these days sense I moved I only see tanks that big in my dreams!

lol i have a 120, 125, 55, and as of tomorrow a 240 selling the 120 for filtration and tops for the 240 lol
