Dovii-Need help sexing!

I have two dovii I picked up about 6 months ago. One of them has claimed alpha in the tank and what a show he has been putting on.
I’ve always wanted this species and when I got the opportunity to grab one I picked up two just to be safe. They’ve both survived and I’m not sure which is male and female. Any opinions or advice welcome!

Yes,females all day.
This young man is about 5-6 inches now and notice the difference in appearance.

Female left, male right.
Females sport that black mark on the gill plate, and usually sport more bars, not visable in males

I had a female also up until last month.
He beat her up pretty bad and she never recovered. SMH!!!
