I have a dovii that is 2in. or a little bigger I got one these fish because I heard that their supposed to be the most aggressive cichlid but hes in a community tank and dosent bother anyone?
Not all dovii are raging psychos, each fish has a different personality. Put him in with fish smaller than him that he can pick on or in a tank on his own and he's more likely to go aggresive.
Hes in a tank with 2 bala sharks about 4in., 4 angel fish 3in. a tetra and an african cichlid and a pleco. So you guys think its just his size thats why hes not that aggressive yet? How many times should I feed him daily I've read 2-3 times?
2 inches is way to small for it to be aggressive. besides why do you want it to turn aggressive? once it gets about 5-6 inches its going to kill all your other fish.
You might as well go ahead and buy him his own 180+ gallon tank, you are most likely going to have to do it sooner or later anyway.
For what it's worth by the time mine was 3" or so he had already killed one other male dovii, two female dovii, and three or four silver dollars. This was in a 210 gallon tank.

Dovii will grow large, tend to be aggressive, and are not a typical community fish. You have a very short-term arrangement with those tankmates and you will need to decide whether to get a separate tank for the dovii or community fish, or pass the dovii or community fish along to someone else. If you choose to keep the dovii, you will need a large tank.
