how fast do they grow?

fast. an inch a month Id guesstimate, sometimes a hair more, depending on tank size, water quality & diet. I fed mine shrimp a lot which seemed to bulk them up fast.

There in a 75g I feed him like 3 times day mysis shrimp, beefheart and flakes.

I had four that I got at 1/4" or so 4 or 5 months ago....the largest is now 5". I feed Shrimp,Krill,Bloodworms,Hikari Bio Gold and Brine shrimp. 50% WC a week.

Never measured them when I got them but they were very tiny. That was just a guess. They were free swimming but I bet not for long. It would take a few moments to find the 4 of them together in a 38 gal. They were no larger than 1/2". The small one of the group was half wiggler....just kidding..
