Dovii/Red Devil Breeding Pair

How did you introduce them? I tried introducing my 8 inch male Flowerhorn to 5 inch Red Devil and he started chasing her around so I serpated them. Is this normal behavior?

My dovii is very laid back for a dovii but still unpredictable... My RD seems to be very aggressive she would bite me before he does but just make sure that there r plenty of hiding spots for the smaller fish

When I introduced them together I made sure that I had good hiding spots that she can fit into but he can't fit into (large PVC pipe works well)
I just tossed her in the tank and said good luck basically... I also sat there and watched them periodically for awile

I love to see them grown out as well I currently have a female dovii, and a male red devil, they seem to have a liking to each other, but are still a bit too small for mating yet!!!
