Oh ok. Technology is going to unclamp the fins in your picture?

. Many people on here suggest the spotting on the body as a sure way to tell a female and a male apart. The one I posed is a male about 6". He does not show the spotting that he will be here soon. Also there is none on his unpaired fins. My 8" Costa Rican has the undeniable spotting on the body as well as the unpaired fins. This Nic is not showing this even at his size. The Female nic has more pronounced spotting then him and is half his size. He is also not the dominate fish in the tank right now.....and I hope to move and get the new tank up and running before he has had enough of the EBJD. Balton IME all young Dovii are shy and skitterish when small and this causes stress and IME causes fish to wash out. Also with a really good pic he would still not show signs of spotting on the un paired....but you would be able to tell anyway
. I have seen a few small Dovii that don't fear anything but often this does not seem to be the case. Personally I have only had two batches of 5 to pick out a male and female from both which can be done by the 2-3" mark. Thanks for trying to sex him anyway and I won't do this again. No hard felling guys.
