DOVII vs UMBEE - the ultimate battle!!!

Who? Been on the site a long time and the biggest I've seen was 20-21". Not saying there aren't bigger, just saying in most cases people guess on the size but when actually measuring they all seemed to be right around 20". I'd love to see some pics of a measured 22"+ beast

They do get bigger then 20" though not as common as one might be led to believe in common house hold aquaria.This guy would be 28" and commands a lot of respect.

I have owned both dovii and umbee.

My male dovii was very aggressive towards tankmates, but was shy and always hiding whenever people came around. You had to watch from a distance to see his aggression. He was only 9 inches when I sold him, so still pretty small. But, I've seen 'youtube' footage of other dovii (smaller than 9") that are very aggressive and not shy at all.

My umbees are still juvenile (1.5") . They hide alot right now, but looking forward to their development.

Depends on the individual Fish........ Ive seen Bad Asses And Mushes in both Fish.... In My Opinion Big Dovii Hit It right On The Head.. Dovi Are Manics Towards Tankmates Umbees Are More To Themselves At Times

got my umbees on wednesday. bought over 60 @ 1" from sydney. all survied the plane flight i'm pretty stoked. sold most of them and now have 12 for myself. a few of them were the biggest from the 60 and are very colourful for their size (fingers crossed they end up being males)
will probly just keep a male but a pair would be cool. not sure what size tank you would need for them though. min 6 x 3 x 2.5'???
