Dovii vs Umbee?

I have to agree with lowcel. My dovii spends 80% of its time hiding in a pot. Now I must say hes only about 5-6". I have to cut the lights out and stand in the corner like a sniper for him to come out for a picture. He's currently in a 55 about to be moved to a 125. But I'm sure he will spunk up a little(hopefully a lot) when he gets bigger. But like most people said its all on what you are looking for in a fish. I just think large male Dovii are show stoppers.

The biggest is either a cichla temensis or emperor cichlid. The meanest is either a male neet or a male herichthys bartoni from my experience.

Why do you want a huge mean fish? I'm not sure you have fully thought this out. You have to be able to properly house the fish which means a huge tank. Deal with it slamming into the glass all the time, pay to feed the thing, and stick you hand in there to try to clean the tank. Might sound like fun at first.........
 
No one still has given me a straight answer the question at the beginning was what fish is more aggressive a dovii or a umbee?
 
There isn't a straight answer. Generally Dovii are more aggressive but some umbee's will be more aggressive then some Dovii. All fish are different.
