Well I read this thread and then went and checked out your YouTube Channel. Not only am I subscriber # 100 to your channel but I was very impressed with your knowledge of the tanks and fish in those tanks. You obviously know your fish and what you and your GF are capable of taking care of when it comes to pets. You have a great head start with your fish collection so keep the pedal down and don't stop the fish!! Chinchilla or no Chinchilla the decision is up to you (and maybe your parents).
I know that you when you started thread it was to ask peoples opinions on a Chinchilla and not love advice on you gf, but I am going to put in my .02 in like most of the other responses on here - I used to race sailboats and I meet my wife at a yacht club after a regatta. Turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. So IMO spending time on a hobby that both you and gf enjoy can either bring you together forever or expose cracks in the relationship. Your 15 and at this point in your life the world is yours for the taking - Go out, have crazy fun, love, & learn from your mistakes.
