those are NOT Pygocentrus Nattereri~!!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think I am, those are actually Pygocentrus Piraya.
That would be the largest shoal of piraya in captivity that I know of. That's a lot of cash in that exhibit.
They even have a piraya picture on the information board and calling it red belly piranha (pygocentrus nattereri). that's false advertisement and provide wrong information to the general public. Next time someone go visit should point it out to their exhibit manager.

:iagree: looks like the king of piranha to me...

x2

That's a sweet tank of piranha, but I love how it's got a huge population of African cichlids in it. I wonder if there's more money in that tank or the tank of Asian aro's and platinum barramundis.

yeah :). Maybe we should send them a letter like, "... it has come to our attention that the fish in your exhibit will all be approximately 20" in the near future....thought you'd like to know. Sincerely, Piranha enthusiasts from MFK" hehe

seriously? What if they know they're piraya? They can be called 'red bellies" as a common name. Does the display say they are P. nattereri? If these are wild they only came from one river. Surely they must know...

edit: damn the sign at the display say they're P natties. Maybe we should tell em. Yeah i'll write an email or letter or something if you think we should. Have we conclusively IDed these guys?

I'm darn sure those are pirayas as most other members have confirmed that I'm not seeing stuff.
