yeah :). Maybe we should send them a letter like, "... it has come to our attention that the fish in your exhibit will all be approximately 20" in the near future....thought you'd like to know. Sincerely, Piranha enthusiasts from MFK" hehe

Well they haven't grown any since I was there in Feb of 2007. I'll see if I can find the pics I took then.

i wish when i went to buy RB's they gave me piyaras instead.
my guess is pygos are sold at similar market prices regardless of species because at the source, they are abundant. The exibition management probably has a more direct method to buying fish as compared to us who go through many middle men.

what other monsta fish they got in the exibition?

Well who knows what a piyaras is?

As the general public I would go see a shoal of pirahnas, then a shoal of piyaras

Evryone knows what rbp are but not piyara

so I believe it's just a marketing scheme to attract more people

I agree with this to a certain extent, but for them to be piraya then that source would just happen to be located near the rio sao francisco. They only come from one river...

I'm darn sure those are pirayas as most other members have confirmed that I'm not seeing stuff.

alright done. I'll write a letter and post it up for everyones approval. I'll be diving this weekend in pennsylvania, but when I get a chance I'll do it. Shouldn't take me long.:grinno:

i have 100's of other pictures from this aquarium as well if people are intrested.

Post'em they are great to see. I did a couple of threads back in 2007 from my visit. Went looking for my pics and found they are on a laptop that went bad on us. I could have them recovered, but instead I think I'll just have to make another trip and get some new pics.
