Dragon vs Snake

Taker, you better educate yourself a little more on the Wolf Fish. malabaricus is hardly the only specie of wolf fish, and certainly not the largest.

Such credit goes to the Aimara:

I have yet to see a snakehead who's head would NOT fit in a large aimara's mouth like a conventional hotdog. The fact of the matter is, large snakeheads are formidable thugs, but a higher class of predatory fish nonetheless blatantly outclasses them.

Perhaps a more even match for a large Red Snakehead would be a large Bowfin:

^ have i ever told you that your my hero

I do beg to differ....

channa micropeltes or the Giant Snakehead does get over 3ft easily.

Plus they have a set of impressive dentiture... I've seen my 7 inch channa rip a frozen chunk of prawn in half that was half his length.

Shell and all... he just took it in his mouth gave a good shake and it was divided in two.

Their teeth are more well designed for slashing and combined with a similar or greater size with the aimara i would consider the two an even match.

Show me a pic of a snakehead that WOULDN'T easily fit down the gullet of the aimaras I posted, and I'll say that you have an argument. Those sh you posted would be gulped head-first pronto.

Even pound-for-pound, the wolf fish clearly has more emphasis on big jaws and teeth than a snakehead does. It has a bigger head, and its teeth AREN'T covered by its lips, whilst the snakehead does.

So I close by saying the snakehead is not top dog among the elongated-predators category.

dude, the last pic of the SH i posted... that guy although not very obvious is quite a match for the aimara... And i've seen much bigger specimens in farms that take dead foot long catfish as snacks...

wolffish are very heavily armed however, i myself have witnessed at a local lfs a wolf that got hammered by a same sized channa.

but w the aimara i believe it will be a tough call... both fish have bulldog heads and powerful jaws...

In the last pic you posted, the snakehead could barely fit that guy's hand in its mouth... look at his hand next to the snakehead's head for comparison! That shows the true size of that fish.

That is not convincing whatsoever. Look at the aimaras I posted--- those wolfs could swallow hands and your snakeheads with no difficulty whatsoever.

dude, his hand would fit easily... just cause the buggers mouth is closed doesnt mean it has a small set of chompers...
