You know when you guys were a little kid and you were looking foward to something really bad. Everybody was telling you not to do it, its a bad idea. Then you bring the idea back up a couple days later and you start talking about the beneifts and everybody goes along with it and is for it. They want to be a part of the concept with you. Your happy as ****. You have everything planned out and readyt to go, your like a kid in the candy shop. Then the day finally comes and you go and make your purchase. You go out and buy a tank for a fish that you were looking foward to getting for a long time. All the work you put in on planning; where you were going to put it, what type of heater you are going to buy, where to place the heater, the decor you were going to get, where you were going to place it, everything...even down to the type of gravel you were going to get. It was like you were planning a baby's room almost.

Then one ****ing phone call ****s it all up. All the hours that you spend, wasted. All from going making the buy, setting up the tank, getting it in the right spot. Putting the decor up and filling the tank.

Well fellow fish mates, it seems that people are out to **** you and not in a good way.

Yesterday went out to my local fish store and purchased EVERYTHING (besides to fish..thank god). And guess what.....you guessed it, its going back today.

So I say this.....**** the people that dont not like the things that we do and **** them for messing up our dreams.

To all of you that have massive tanks with beautiful fish or even the ones who have a little 1 gallon tank with a gold fish, I envy you. I wish I had people that understood this like you do.

I guess the only thing that I can do at this point is countiue looking at this site and being an active memeber. I know that I am new to this but everybody has to start some where. And I would like to thank the people that took their time and answered my questions.

:(

I'm confused, why exactly can't you have the tank...if you don't mind me asking

Interesting rant.

all you can do is wait until you are in a situation where you can do what you want.

either when you are grown up and moved out or find an apartment building that allows large aquariums.

my whole life I had wanted a 6 foot tank, and I had to wait until I was 30, earning good money so that I could move out and finally buy one.

when I lived with my parents a 90g was the largest they would allow. not that bad, but still. I lusted after a larger tank for 20 years LOL
