1.) Get the big stuff off by hand and hose it off a bit.
2.) Power wash (sometimes I leave a bit of bark on, makes for an attractive, natural appearance in the aquarium, depends on the piece really.)
3.) Scrub thoroughly, hours...
4.) Soak in a 55 gallon tank. If it is too large, it's done in sections.
5.) Poor boiling water over it to kill anything that may be left over.
6.) Scrub again
7.) Rinse and air dry
