But fluorescents take approximately 130 watts to equal one 65 watt cf, which in long term use costs a lot more money in electricity.
 
65 is the more common size of PC bulb. Coralife makes a good light, that runs 2 65 watt bulbs in a 48" fixture.
 
pretty much any fern will do, try some bolbitis it works good and is a low light plant, also many types of annubias work well and then any moss yo can find.
when you attach the ferns use those vinyl coated wires used to tire gabage bags. :nilly:

Don't use those twist ties, if left too long, they can actually damage the plants. Black cotton thread is the best, as it will just disintegrate over time.
