I've had this big driftwood for almost 2 months now and I soaked it for a week already to get rid of excess stain, but it's still turning my tank yellow. How do you guys fix this problem? My tank looks gross yellow. HELP!

In all honesty though, Just keep doin water changes. It will eventually come out. That and put in a phosphate remover like phosgaurd. That tends to suck out the tannins in the water. Be prepared to bleach the phosgaurd quite frequently though. It sucks that crap out good.

My driftwood is still Leachin Tannin's as well after a few month's.
But it's getting better. I was changing 25% of my water every 3 days
to keep the water clear. Now it takes about 12 days to slightly tint the water.
It just takes patience.....And a lot of water changes.

Purigen!! Problem solved.

Boiling won't work and neither will carbon. Water changes is not a solution as I'm sure you do that anyway and will take months. Purigen will work in 24 hours.
