If I'm understanding it correctly, it looks good. Just be sure to design it so that if your socks become clogged (which they eventually will) and oveflow, the water will fall into the sump (as opposed to onto your floors).
Your design looks good and fancier than I decided to go on mine.
I have heard good things about fluidized bed filters, but I think you typically have to run an air stone or water pump to keep the media fluidized...I didn't want to have to bother with that. I like to keep things as simple as possible, so I run filter socks for my mechanical filtration, then submerged Pond Matrix for my bio.
