theres more to this than we may think

there are far too many questions that cant be answered.

this is true. we have all had this discusion and we never seem to find any routines that can be associated w/ DE. the persone on here said that they dont get it in ponds and he has actually had the DE go away after being placed in a pond.

i have heard stories from my friend of asians that had their DE disappear in ponds. he told me its because ponds stimulated their natural environment and they always have to look up to find food instead of down, which would include various insects and explain why they jump so much.

that may be an excellent point! in the wild they will actually jump to take insects from overhanging tree branches and some insects out of fight. in a tank that is not even an option. anyone have an aro with DE and an extra pond to do an experiment?

im pretty sure that if u try it, it will most likely work. experimenting would imply a possilbility of it not working, which i dont think will happen. i mean, if putting them in their natural habitat brings out their best colors, wouldn't it do something for them physically, such as DE as well? they're not constantly looking down, and they're eating food that is natural to their habitat as well, so there is no need to worry about a well balanced diet.

yeah, but we are not possitive that it works...hence the experiment. i agree w/ you though. i really think it does work for them.

how would this explain:

1) silvers are almost always Left eye..DE
2) the utube video of them removing fatty tissue from the asian's eye with de ??
3) dont most people feed aro's floating foods ??
