I love my arowana, I really couldn't get rid of him/her. I honestly think it's eyes are very nice for his size. I mean I seen some pretty nasty DE. I do a 50% water change weekly, and I feed him krill, fresh "Smelt" from the store, shrimp, and worms. He's about 17+ inch in a 55 
He's out grown it, I know. But in about 2 weeks he'll get he new 220gal home. Anyways thanks for all the great info guys and girls.

its not gonna help as long as you keep it in a glass tank. Aro that keep in pond doesn't have DE. So diet is not really a key that cause drop eye either While Aro and pond aro doesn't have it. That because they always look up as for captive aro the fish does look down a lot. I have seen Koji silver comm tank that he have his tank on the floor and all his silver didn't get DE.
