Thanks. :) Both fish are wild caught. Mine was wild in a canal just off a fish farm in Florida. There are some much bigger males but just too big for shipping. I can't comment on when they start colouring up, though. I'm going to take a guess that colours start to come in at the 5-6" mark?

He's going down in April specifically to find big bass and I know they;re going to visit the canal where my dovii was caught. They said there were some 24-30" males in that water. I'm sure he can hook you up. ;)

That trip in April is going to be AWESOME! My camera is going to get a heck of a workout down there.

If you catch a fish in a canal, near a fish farm, not in the country of origin. Is that really a "wild" fish.

Just thinking out loud, do not get me wrong, I think your fish is great.
