I have two geese and a duck and I want to give them some type of treat besides letting them roam the yard and eat what they want. I was just wondering what would be safe to give to goslings and ducklings. Thanks

Chad

They are awesome pets! They love leafy greens which you can hand to them. They also like prepared bird pellets - the kind that looks like fish pellets. Don't forget bread. That kind of thing. Oh, crackers also.
Basically anything they can eat, is a good treat once in a while.

There is a lady who comes into the pet store I work at and she gets 1,000 large crickets for her adult duck. I assume it loves crickets.

I raised mallards for about 7 years. I feed my babies Purina Gamebird Chow. They grew big and fast on that. Baby waterfowl tend to eat a lot of bugs when they are growing because they have a lot of protien in them. When they got older I fed them whole kerenal corn mixed with there normal food. I'll post some pics when I find them.

Beautiful ducks. I already have them on the grow start stuff. I just wanted to give them some treats. I can try crickets one of these days.

Hahaha there is a place around here that we had order them for us. I don't plan on letting them live in my pond but I am going to let them in my pond while they are small. Only when I am watching them though especially since I found two water lilies today! And yea they def have names. You'll find this funny. Grey goose= vodka...African goose= toby...Indian runner duck= skwancho:ROFL: . Obviously there is a joke behind each name lol.

Did the mama duck let you touch the babies at all?

Try crickets and locusts.. they love them
