Don't order from them! I bought a 6inch Blue Diamond Rhom and it barely measured 4inches and had a chimple!

did you measure the fish with a ruler?
you should bring it up to the vendor, perhaps you can get some money back.
having a chimple is something hard to avoid sometimes, unless they promised you that the fish will be chimple free in written statement.
but with proper care and excellent quality the chimple should go away over time.

Is there? Whereabouts? There might be a couple of local people breeding, but there is no large scale "piranha breeding operation" as far as I know. Likely they came from a wholesaler who imported them from Asia or South America.

PS Piranhas come from South America, not Asia...so they wouldn't be wild-caught, they'd be farm bred. This is where most of the piranhas in the hobby come from, although wild imports from Peru are starting to pop up more frequently.

Out of curiosity, how much did it cost to ship them to Thunder Bay?
