So here's the story, it's my second time dealing with a Vendor an official business not just a hobbyist. First time was in September. I ordered some fish totaling over $700. Date came up that fish where supposed to ship, no contact. So I contacted them, no response. The shipping day went by and then the delivery day and despite me reaching out a couple of times; no response. I work nights so staying up for a delivery is hard on me(something I informed the vendor during my texts) but since I wasn't sure I stayed up just in case. Finally later the day of the delivery I got a response saying the fish weren't sent out and an apology. Okay, I accepted it; I'm a fairly patient person and asked when would be the next most convenient day for the seller. They stated next Monday for Tuesday delivery, okay I thanked the gentleman.

Again the evening came on the shipping day and no contact from the seller and no notification from my FedEx account. So again I reached out to see if the fish shipped and got no response. So I stayed up again and tried contacting the vendor the next day at what I thought would be a reasonable time for their part of the country and again no response. So I stayed up again, just in case. No fish. Eventually they contacted me to say the fish didn't go out again. Okay, again I'm a patient person so again I just asked when would be the next reasonable day for them. Again the reply was Monday for Tuesday delivery. Okay, cool. I agreed that would be fine. Finally they came that following Tuesday. Cool, I thanked them and gave them a good review. I mean it's whatever, people have bad days; one offs will happen.

So I decided again to order as the fish they have are not commonly available, so again I shelled out over $700 beans. And again the same issue. Two weeks of waiting for days that the fish where to be shipped with no contact or responses to my messages until after I've lost sleep waiting for fish that never come. This last time I didn't get a response to my messages for 5 days. Again I try to be cool but I feel like canceling as when they did respond again all I got was an apology. Not like hey I'll take off $5 bucks or something to make up for my inconvenience. Am I wrong? Am I being petty? Should I cancel and ask for a refund?

I have received 2 deliveries from an online supplier that whrn they arrived were not what was advertised. The first shipment I really did want Heros Notatus. The second shipment I was happy they were woodcats. I won't be ordering again from that vendor. I did pursue a refund for the first shipment. Also, with each shipment I was told Tuesday ship for a Wednesday delivery but both turned into a Wednesday ship. I don't work nights so not a super bid deal but if you make a statement stick by it.
I won't order from this vendor again because of these experiences. He packs his orders very well And I have had no DOA or unhealthy fish.
If I were in your shoes I would be demanding a refund and make the shipping and lack of communication part of the review left for that vendor.

Thanks fishguy1978 fishguy1978 I appreciate the response, sorry to hear you had some issues too but I'm glad it seems like it worked out for you.

I'm still undecided on asking for a refund. I was hoping to get more opinions before I made a finally decision but I need to tell them soon in order not to inconvenience the Vendor. The fish they have are rarely improted and I worry I may not see them for awhile.

I also don't want to leave a negative review, that's why I didn't say who they are here. I don't want to posibly hurt their business. It's just very frustrating to spend a lot of money and not even get the consideration of the Vendor responding to me for weeks and me losing sleep because of it. I even took the time to wish them a Happy Thanksgiving in the texts and I never got nasty in anyway and it's like they don't appreciate my business or my patients with the repeated situation.

If a vendor has shipping issues they should atleast keep you informed. Communication is very important imo. koltsixx koltsixx I personally would ask for a discount for your kindness and patience.

Thanks tlindsey tlindsey I'm hesitant on the asking for a discount as I feel he should have offered one himself and worry it'll just degrade wihich so far ha been a polite back and forth if nothing else. I have a feeling if he didn't mention it me mentioning it will just make him combative. I'm also worried he may try to short change me my refund even though I payed to save him the Paypal fee.

I’d wait a bit if possible. Had a similar prob before. Fish eventually landed. Got time with PayPal to file a dispute unless that’s changed. Not the ideal situation.

Sometimes in our efforts to be nice we allow others to get away with wrong. The vendor has now on 2 shipments made false statements and while I talk strong on here I would probably be doing what you are. ?

Thanks kno4te kno4te so you had a Vendor promise to send you fish over and over again but didn't actually send them till three weeks later? I just wish they would've responded and let me know they never sent the fish. This is the first time I ever had a Vendor do this and they've now done it with 2 different orders and it's not on the delivery service as they never shipped them and keep not responding to me for long periods.

As far as I know Paypal still handles disputes like that but it's already going on 3 weeks now and the lack of communication is frustrating.

I agree, but I have never purchased fish here. I've had my eyes on fugupuff for a while, but he doesn't post often
I'm sorry xenacanth9 xenacanth9 , just to be sure, you agree with kno4te?

Oh and Fugupuff/ Wes is an amazing vendor in my opinion. I have been dealing with him for years now. He has a FB page and if you email him he can put you in his mailing list so you'll get an email when ever he gets new fish in with size and prices.

That's what I worry about. I was hyper aggressive when I was younger and now I sometimes go to far the other way in trying not to be that guy anymore. Again bro, thanks.
