It was several weeks before sending the fish. Promised to send and never got a word back by email after initial emails. The fish arriving was a surprise. Later I found out a power outage and all the fish were lost. Had to get his wholesaler to find my fish.Thankskno4te so you had a Vendor promise to send you fish over and over again but didn't actually send them till three weeks later? I just wish they would've responded and let me know they never sent the fish. This is the first time I ever had a Vendor do this and they've now done it with 2 different orders and it's not on the delivery service as they never shipped them and keep not responding to me for long periods.
As far as I know Paypal still handles disputes like that but it's already going on 3 weeks now and the lack of communication is frustrating.

Oh and Fugupuff/ Wes is an amazing vendor in my opinion. I have been dealing with him for years now. He has a FB page and if you email him he can put you in his mailing list so you'll get an email when ever he gets new fish in with size and prices.
Oh okay, thank you
Wow, sorry to hear, this has been my first time dealing with this. Mind you pretty much all my fish have been bought online for years now. Guess I've been lucky(knock on wood). It was several weeks before sending the fish. Promised to send and never got a word back by email after initial emails. The fish arriving was a surprise. It worked out. Just no communication. He sent replacement fish. The fish were bigger and that was the end of it. It worked out. Paid thru PayPal and waited since I had time to place a dispute. I’m in a similar position as all my fish are online purchases. Local stores don’t carry any oddballs or if it does then very infrequent and I’ve missed it.Oh okay, thank youxenacanth9

So the seller had a power outage and you had to source his wholesaler? You did get your fish from the wholesaler and money back from the seller though right? Sorry just hoping it worked out for you.
I've had delivery issues but never with a seller not sending fish. One of the craziest delivery issues I had was a Papyrocranus afer who got lost in transit and wasn't found for a week. It was during a heatwave in the summer no less. But to my surprise the Afer was fine despite the heat and small package/bag he was in.
I'm glad it worked out for you. My first intro to Monster Fish was finding Shark Aquarium in NJ which led me to MFK. I still have Monster Aquarium close enough to me so I still have an outlet for rare fish locally but I miss my day trips to NJ. Threw the family in the car and made a day of it. Did some outlet shopping then a nice lunch out then finally finished with Shark Aquarium. Since SA closed and things got rough for me personally I basically been buying from online Vendors. It worked out. Just no communication. He sent replacement fish. Thanks PYRU, that's the way I decided to go. I spoke to them and they seemed to take it fine, supposedly it'll be squared away today.Idk I spend $1400 with you over 2 transactions & you ghost me. I'd ask for a refund personally.
Thanks Neil, for the response. I asked for the refund but I am hesitant on changing my initial review. Despite the issues, thus far he seems to be a good guy. I'm waiting to see about the refund before deciding on changing my the review or not.I'd demand a refund, and leave an honest (negative) review regarding same.
Two weeks of waiting for days that the fish where to be shipped with no contact or responses to my messages until after I've lost sleep waiting for fish that never come. This last time I didn't get a response to my messages for 5 days
You might be right on both counts Neil. Maybe I should think of his potential customers but I already more or less said I wouldn't change the review depending on the refund outcome and I try to let my word be my bond, so they'll go unnamed and the review left as is. But I will definitely think differently next time because you pointed out something I hadn't really considered and that's future potential buyers. I feel bad because I'm not sure I am doing the right thing but as I said I try to stick by what I say. I just hope I'm not making the wrong call. You're too kind, Kolt. Not that being overly kind is a bad trait in a person. I understand better than most that things can sometimes go sideways for an online vendor, but the lack of response, that would have done it for me.
I would have got my $$$ back, and hammered this vendor hard, including a public outing. No excuse for this kind of piss poor service. Besides groveling at your feet with an apology, the right thing for any vendor to do when things like this happen, is to pay for the shipping, or take $50 buck off the order, or offer some free fish - do something/anything to appease the customer. Horrible customer service is something that I simply refuse to tolerate, and I have no problem showing someone the door if/when required. In this case it certainly sounds like this vendor has it coming, and I would personally want to give others a heads up. But that's just me.
