I remember once when i was i kid that i filled up a 29 gallon with tap water and through an oscar in it the same day and it lived perfectly fine.

I was just wondering how this is possible lol

PS. He was later moved to a bigger tank

i get what hes saying cause normally tanks need to cycle before you add fish into it.

And he just got the fish filled a tank with tap water and put it in with no cycling of the tank.

This is what 90% of fosh keepers do since most people have never heard of cycling. Don't feel bad, when I was 4 I dumped a bag of flour int the tank and cranked up the heater because I was hungry. No survivors but atleqst my mom caught me before I thought they were done.

The dumbest thing I ever did was listen to the LFS when they said, "sure that porcupine puffer will be fine in your 10 gallon"... Upgrade came quick after that...
