was cleaning my tank out and removed some drift wood and put it in a tot .a couple days went by and i couldnt fined one of my royal plecos and he was in the tot and died said day .

this actually happened to my sister's tank. she couldn't figure out why all her fish kept dying, then she caught my 7 year old neice taking the fish out of the aquarium, playing with them, then putting them back in. and my 2 year old nephew decided the fish wanted some reading material and threw his books in there...
doing a WC on the 125 was using a python attached to my slop sink... well i didnt check the drain plug before emptying the water. good thing its was a small water change but there was still a about 30 gallons on the laundry room floor.

my mom wonderd wy it got so big so fast so i looked and found out it got huge and the tank size is 400gal +
i sold that sucker back to the lfs the next daY A GOT 75 $

Not so bad - I didn't realize the eating capacity of a rtc
Bad - I dropped my cel phone into a grow out tank and didn't find it for two days.
Worse - When plumbing my first tank with overflows I put a stop valve between an external canister and the bulkhead. The pressure from the back flow popped the saftey out of the canister geyser style. It took me a little while to figure out why the water level in the 180 gallon tank was falling!
Worst - The temperature in my 150 reef was too low, I reached into my box of heaters and pulled out a 250w put it in the tank, set the thermostat and went away for two days. When we got home, there was a good awful stench in the house. The water was murky and green and everything was poached! fish coral, inverts, anenomies, plants, EVERYTHING!!! I grabbed a heater that I knew was broken but for some reason didn;t throw out after it broke. The temperatur in the tank was a balmy 93 degrees!!! I cried!!!

Recently removed a whole basket of ReefresH20 balls from my FX5 and replaced with Substratpro...ended up with a bacterial bloom and cloudy tank since. Want to eventually replace the other 2 baskets of ReefresH20 but didn't think replacing 1 basket at a time would make a difference...it does
