(But not having been there ratchet hard to confirm either way, such is the case in war, plus "confirmed kills" are a bit of a misnomer, because all you got to do is get a higher up to say "yup that happened").

just sayen, we can only go by what is concedered(sp) documented, your argument can be made for both. When going by trivia and documented facts you have to go with is concedered verified and not assumption.

True, but what do you do when nothing is explicitly fact? You can only make a judgement based on the most likely probability

only consider those kills with a rifle. In your question you asked about a sniper specifically.
