Get everything set up first then buy one. And are you ready to own an eating machine that gets to be large, and usually agressive?

you want an albino? it'll probably cost you 5 digits if there is one.

you don't even have a proper enclosure, why don't you get the proper setup first then buy the animal?

just like you wouldn't have a baby, then get a baby crib.
:iagree: do the caiman and yourself a favor Research them befor you think you have to just have one.

I would go at least 6' by 8' and 4 feet high with a plastic top. They will brake a glass top and they like to jump at least as high as they are long. Plus when they feed they go for the face or head first of there pray to drowned them. So keep that in mind when you go to feed them and you stick your head over there cage there not looking to you for food there looking at you as food. albino's will run anywhere from 10,000 on up to about 50k. Buy a Nile monitor instead please

lol recommending a nile monitor is about as dumb as recommending a dwarf caimen to this guy.

well im probably not getting it this saturday. im just going to a show saturday. if they have one i might get it. i just want to get an idea together. i just want to know how big of an enclosure i will need. and if they have a good one for a god price i might get it. probably gonna wait. i am just trying to get ideas together

so you PROBABLY won't get one but you MIGHT get one? :screwy:

yes, you might find one at a good price, but then what? you can't have it sit in your bath tub while you continue to "get ideas together".

you realize a big enclosure will cost many times more than the animal. then calculate the cost of everything else, you've got yourself into at up to a grand of expenses. a cage that's big enough for a dwarf caimen should at least be 10x5x4, which will certainly set you back several hundred, and couple hundred more for shipping.

I'm speaking from experience, because I buy on impulse all the time and I've learned my lesson many times over. What usually happens? I overspend or I end up with a dead animal.

Don't do it.

GEt it!!!

its CUTE!!! look at the cutie face... dont you want to buy it??? fit right into your palm!!!

IRESISTABLE!!!

if you do get one, I will LOL @ you! :D

^^
