E. americanus americanus/E. americanus vermiculatus ?'s

Hmmm. I'm still trying to figure out if I'm going to get the bullhead or not. Probably wont, even if it doesnt eat the Redfins, it will probably chow down on the plants I plan to have in the tank. And I dont want that to happen. So I'll most likely just do a trio of redfins. Is it possible to mix redfins with grass pickerels? Say, two redfins and one grass pickerel?

Rad, I'll probably do that then. I want a catfish.. but the only species I can think of that would fit would be a spotted bullhea but the fact that they enjoy plant matter really rules it out as being a tankmate for the pickerels.

Maybe try some madtoms, ones that get over 5" I think should be okay.

I might try that. If it doesnt work I can always set up another tank for the madtoms.

I would try stonecats, they can get 12" and mine seem to e growing at nearly the same rate as my grass pickerels.

Awesome suggestion, I'll check em out and probably try it when the tanks all set up. :headbang2
