Ear stretching and other body mods

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I used to have 2 0 gauges, but due to different acting jobs I've had, I had to let them shrink to a 14 or so, I also have a 2nd small hoop on my left ear and my nipple pierced. Can't get any tats right now, but plan on it eventually. I also used to have hair down to my mid back if you consider that body mod lol. Had to cut that for a musical last year :cry: I think body mod is beautiful and expressive.

I truly never understood the whole straight edge thing. Maybe just cause I'm lame and just a square, but insight would be appreciated.

Straight edge is a term coined by the band Minor Threat. It's basically a vow to remain drug free, alcohol free, tobacco free, and abstain from promiscuous sex (outside of a relationship). Alot of people think of it as a redundant pledge simply because you could just not do those things and still not live under any label. But my philosophy is why not just be straight edge instead of constantly saying "Oh, I don't drink." "No, I don't smoke", etc. It has also brought me a new group of friends who I know will stand by me when things get rough. It's basically like a biker brotherhood, but without the bikes, drugs, prostitutes, and all that. :D

Well, then I guess I'm out. ;)

^ I just recently watched that, some of the parts are quite difficult to watch with body mods to sensitive special areas.

love tats and most piercings (I have commitment issues so I llike them on other people) but, suspention...... that I really don't get. As much as they forcfully make themselves smile, the eyes say it all..... OH ****

It's not for everyone, like I said. But it's what I did for myself. I don't knock you if you do any of that stuff either. Everyone in my band is a pothead.

When I was younger I got my ears scalpeled at a 0. Made it to an inch, one got ripped out, and years later they won't get any smaller than a 7/16. Having permanent little cat buttholes on my ears now, I highly regret it.

Tattoos are never ending. It's my career path so why not.

For the most part it's just a lifestyle. I mean there are a bunch of posers out there, but whatever. They help pay the bills too.

I love people who just get a tribal on their arm and think their so deep into body mods. I know several. And a kid who got an outline of a DC logo on his shoulder and told me he had 3 hours into it. I could do that in 10 minutes and I'm not even a tattoo artist!

That's why I say go big or go home. If I can be in a work environment where it's acceptable, I'm going to do it. Which I will be, considering I'm working on my degree in music production and engineering so I'll be working for myself.
