I used to work at the humane society and i worked the clinic side which inclused euthanasia of animals. right after i started, there was a ringworm outbreak that was growing out of control very quickly to the point where employees were taking it home to their familys to the vet decided to put down the infected cats and dogs to stop the out break. you know...the greater good crap. We'll i had to help prepare the animals for their fate. It was a sad thing to be a part of but I told myself that its for the greater good and we did it.
Putting down sick and injured animals was pretty bad but what the hell do those people make themselves believe to do some of that sick crap.
People have always put themselves above everything else because we're 'smarter' or 'more advanced' than other creatures but science had yet to understand the world around them. It baffled scientist for years how whales, dolphins and sea turtles migrated over 1000's of miles of open water to a certain spot.
Sometimes it scares the living SH1+ out of me how fast we are using uf rescorces, polluting the environment and building our cities. I'm afraid my daughter will never see a forest, a field or be able to swim in a clean river like i did.
And we brag about out science, technology and 'taming' the world!
I'm not going veggi but it makes me sick out arrogant the human race has become.
