Are they that good of a resource to cichlids diet wise? I have seen a lot of posts about people feeding earthworms, I had no clue!

i tryed them with my oscar once. they just sunk to the bottom. he didn't even smell them or anything
if they'll eat em i think they're OK.

, man i've seen my oscars, no let me rephrase, all my cichlids devour them, i'm talking eating 4-5 at a time, trying to pull them out of each others mouth, stuffing their mouths so much the worms,wigglers,or night crawlers(which ever i buy that day)hang down outside the fishes gillplates.Think about this whats the alltime #1 bait used for fishing,live worms
Plus they are packed with protein

yeah mine love em. It sometimes takes a bit for them to actually eat them at first but generally once they try them they love em. I cut them up at first to about the size of the pellets they are eating and they scarf them right up. Then they will recognize the scent taste and start eating larger pieces.
