Use two or three pythons to drain the tank to speed up the process.

that would be stupid and a waste of money.
it's already fast enough, why rush it?

i'm sure you don't have 3 hands to hold onto 3 pythons and then clean the gravel with all the tubes.
and i'm sure there aren't 3 faucets really close to each other. you would have to get extension hoses that would be even more money.

one python is enough. i have a 25' python and a 15' extension on it.

Just asking, but what would happen if I didn't use any de chlor? I kow its bad, but how bad?

really bad; you would have chlorine, ammonia, and obviously chloramines in your tank which is extremely harmful to the fish, will burn the gills and kill them within a matter of minutes.
and also your filter wouldn't work since chlorine will kill the beneficial bacteria in the tank.

and yes you get the amount water conditioner you need and pour it while it's filling up.
and also, since it sprays water to the tank, it evaporates alot of the chlorine, but you still need to use water conditioner.
actually if you use prime, it's so strong you just pour the amount you need into the tank and just fill back up. it works instantly

Are you able to treat water that will be going back to the tank prior to the water going in the tank?
yes before refilling just pour the correct amount of prime in your tank

I do 50% water changes, so I add enough dechlor. for half the tank, as I start filling. Never had a problem.

i've never used any dechlor in my tanks, mainly because i never used to know you needed to when i started fishkeeping and i've never had any problems with 30-40% changes every week, although i think it will depends on your water supply in your area and the amount of added chlorine etc.

i'm looking at getting a filter for my tank water supply to remove chlorine etc
