Easy way to lower nitrates.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My 50 overflows into my 20 gallon guppy tank. I've got a bunch of elephant ears I dug out of the river. Then that overflows into a fern that drains into my 50 gallon sump. I pretty much eliminated my algae...might have to either get some big fish or start feeding my pleco and snails.

Mostly fake, the small bunch of plants in the middle to the right are real but just some random plants like anubis

They look really nice in the picture. So the other plants have very little effect on nitrate removal due to the small amount of them.I was just wondering about them and their role in the process.

That looks really cool. I have a photos plant in my tank, it's growing like crazy. I heard that photos is a much higher nitrate consumer then bambo, and also the arrow plant consumes even more. But those bamboos look really nice

Petspoiler now will correct the error of your ways ;)

i bought 20 of the so called friendship bamboo that im gonna try in my 75 with my oscar and jd, Does any one know why the store put a dab of green wax on the the tops of the stock. (maybe to stump growth of the plant) i plan on removing it first
