nice, i've heard of people getting sick from this, what fish have you eaten before?
All I heard is just one person on here that got sick from eaten an aquarium fish but there was lot of alcoholics involved. I had a big dolphin cichlid and a big blood parrot that died on me so I fillet it out and they tastes like a sunfish. To be fair, lot of aquaculture used same stuff we used on aquarium fishes to kill the diseases.

Or striped bass poop...its not a pretty life being a tilapia.
I heard they also feed same thing to hybrid striper bass and channel catfish too. That's why I prefer wild catfish over farm raised catfish.

Some guy fried up his pacu who he said was being a PITA. He said it tasted pretty good.

I've eaten a number of my cichlids, including one of my injured JDs and a red bay snook, and in Costa Rica, P managuense, and V maculacauda. They all taste very similar to panfish we catch here, and are considered good and normal sources of protein where they are endemic.
Since I very seldom use any medications other than salt, it's not something I worry about.
And if an injured fish is inevitably going to die, eating it is much less wasteful than tossing it in the trash.
