it is not cost effective, you must be thinking of that thanksgiving turkey in your freezer.

no, i'm fully aware of what i said :) . steroids can be used. Just because it doesn't happen often doesn't mean it doesn't happen at all ;)

Being a new dad to an oscar, wife and I were at the local mexican meat market and saw a tilapia, and it was our fish! , well in shape and form at least, haha, no way she was going to let me buy it for a taste,

I was raised in Oregon, fished trout/salmon/cod/perch for years. Now in California, most beaches are closed for swimming periodically, no way would I eat the ocean fish here. Alot to be said for our polluted environment.

After experiencing an Oscar as a pet, no way could I eat one. I couldn't look him in the eye again, lol.

Hiya Elrec, welcome to MFK, I bet your oscar would eat oscars.

My piranha was very bland. I find that any well prepared meal is a sexual stimulant, also chocolate and even gummi bears but maybe that is just me. :naughty:
no it is'nt just you bro........ you also forgot kit-kat's and peanutbutter cup's , choclate & peanut butter combo is a low budget spanish fly!!!!.. :grinyes:

ever read your state's fishing guide provided by fish & game / D.E.P(gives you a run down of state law , local speice etc:) .. in connecticut they advise you only comsume one WILD! caught fish PER YEAR!! ....... I would eat an aquarium fish from almost anybody!.. I my self would have to have someone else kill it though.............

I've read in multipul post of people actually cooking and eatting their overgrown fish.

Chemicals or not, I'd have to say it sounds a little heartless!
