ebay substrate= 120lbs black sand shipped for 75bucks???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wish ---------that ebay guy probably buys it a dollar a ton or something crazy. I paid 75 for it shipped. The shipping alone cost 10.35 for each flat rate box and there was 3 boxes. Thats 31.05 in shipping. So the guy only made 43.95 off of it. And then he has to buy the stuff in the first place. So he is buying 120lbs of this stuff and making a profit for 44 bucks.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Thats it i am going to start selling scrubbies on ebay as bio media. i will unravel them before hand to disguise the identity. And not list any pictures just some info on the area of surface.

That's the same way mine was packaged. I'll post some pictures of it later; I like it. As far as I can tell it hasn't faded at all. It definitely isn't "darkest jet black so dark its like a black hole in every grain" or whatever they described it as though.

It isn't round either.

here is a picture of it in my tank (sorry about the delhezi getting in the way). It is actually more like dark gray.

it looks darker outside the tank without bright lights.

That looks a lot more like gravel than sand. But it looks nice enough. If you want black sand, order some 3M ColorQuartz from NT Ruddock. It's about $23 for 50 pounds, if I recall correctly. Shipping, of course, is extra, but the price for the ColorQuartz seems to be in line with this Ebay stuff. I have a warehouse in my town, so I don't have to get it shipped.

Its sand; the delhezi is just small.
