Also, I hope that people just accept the fact that you will run into deformities such as beak faces or short fins. I mean out of a couple hundred fry some are going to look retarded. You can't honestly expect that all your kids are going turn out looking like brad pitt or alessandro ambrosio.

 it's completely true and put into great wording!
I dont believe in combining the gold genes and blue genes to be honest. Most golds I've seen show bad beaks. But to each his own. I'm waiting for the day when I can take two strong EBJD and breed them together and produce full EBJD that would contain pure EBJD fry... Imagine a spawn of 100% EBJD

Just dont understand the comparason between trying to breed quality JDs(Which you can cull the deformed ones) with Brad Pitt, come on.After all,we are talking about fish here, not human beings.I understand there will be deformities and not every fish will turn out perfect, but you make sure you dont continue that deformity by breeding that JD with short fins or beak face.Thought the whole idea is to get the best looking and strongest line of JDs that we can.

I agree with you a hundred percent, but I believe that no matter how high quality of stock you have you will still end up with a few fuglies. I have seen it first hand, I have seen some of the most spectacular EBJDs and the ugliest from the same spawn.
