bloat is a scary thing in fishes my kirin parrot had a bloat and it exploded after a week.

yeah unfortunately one of my geo's had bloat and he didnt make it, if you want to save your JD, get some epsom salt or tetracyclin FAST

Ya.... sadly he exploded.. omg. i cut him open and i saw his intestine all messed up...

Kinda mad/sad/ and glad... Been trying to get rid of some fish stocks..

I will get EBJDs again.. just probably not for a while.. :(

Nothing to do with feeding bloodworms, bloat is a disease nothing to do with over feeding, unlucky dude, EBJD's can be hard to raise when they are young.

Salt doesnt help unless its breathing problem

I think he ate something he wasn't suppose to..

I kinda wish EBJDs are cheaper... AND Bigger..
I only know of one other guy who sells them..

Sorry to hear of your loss bro. It always sucks losing a $$$ fish.

Epsom salt, (not aquarium salt) is actually used as a laxative. Fish are typically netted from the aquaria and placed in a bucket for a salt dip/bath for roughly 10-15 min per dip. This has been known to help with constipation/bloat problems.

By the way, Rapps is selling full grown EBJD's if that's what you are looking for...

another fix is to feed them pees that helps bloat as well. But bloat is mosty cause when a fish inhales air while eatting food .

sorry to hear that. im trying to raise three ebjd right now so far i have seen ick finiky eating agresion and now one is acting like it has ick but there is no signs im thinking parisite that some how survied my uv light.

I dunno but Im pretty sure a diet consisting of just bloodworms will cause real bad intestinal issues.
For lack of a better word the 'skin' on the worms is hard to digest and can clog intestines if thats all that is fed.
Sorry about your loss though, next time I reccomend varying up the fish's diet with LOTS more pellets.

i heard uv lights only get one celled organisms. not parasites like ick or the one that causes hole in the head in oscars. i asked for one for that purpose and the guy said if you dont have an algea problem or a reef tank you are wasting your money on something you dont need for freshwater.

I do know that a uv will not kill ick but it can kill parisites not sure if it kills all. (sorry to get off topic)
