Both parents have to have both Blue and Gold genes to get Platinum so far as I know, tho these could since mom has both and dad is a EB I think, err hope

This is only half the eggs, so I'll let the rest of the eggs hatch. I'll pull them tomorrow. Got my fry tank already set up.

Can this pairing toss plat? Or does he need gold genes as well?

I'm curious to know if they will spawn platinums. I'm suspecting 'no', but perhaps we will be surprised. I'm hoping to get fry that look like dad!

Once I get a female gold from my spawn that is growing up, I hope to pair the female gold with the EBJD male you sent me.

Ya I hope his patterning carries on to some of the fry. Them platinum babies are soo cute. I may have to look for a 90 and solo cichlid one in it.....
