Where I'm at the decent EBJD's look like crap and are 40 to 80 bucks for a fish that might not die. The dying ones at the box stores aren't even worth mentioning. I've seen some nice ones on MFK but never in person.
If you get an EBJD get a prime specimen or don't waste your time. EBA's are A LOT hardier. I picked up a pair that had ich for 10 bucks. 3 months later they are easily one of my favorites. I did not expect so much personality out of them. Always out front looking for a handout. They eat shrimp out of my hand and if anything their colors have gotten brighter.
