Check out the "in-house" tank test...This stuff is so good it will let plants like Amazon swords morph into other plants that like poor water conditions better!:ROFL::ROFL:

Using Japan for a testimonial doesn't rate very high since they also promote rhinoceros's horn, Tiger bones (and other parts) and shark fin soup for... ah, ...well ...unscientifically documented results.

Just a note on testing parameters...Don't change them or the test results are bogus!

Notice that on any of the sites there are no water quality tests done by an underwriters lab. or any traceable souce. No University tests.

How about free samples, I'd be willing to set up a tank with some larger messy natives (not small guppies) and test it honestly under OUR real life conditions (and post the results).

Don't get me wrong, I want for something like this to REALLY work. A resin, bacteria or even a green glowing meteorite fragment...I don't care as long as it is good for the fish and good for the environment.

Why is anyone taking the 3 or so people arguing in favour of this, who all seem to be vendor/vendor related, seriously?

Thats a good question. Some people know better. I for instance have a bottle of tetra easy balance. Right on the wrapper it says I can delay water changes for up to 6 months !!! Don't ask me where I got the stuff but the fact is I don't believe everything I read on the manufacturers side. I didn't use it and I went right on with regular water changes. I figured hey if I break a leg AND an arm and cant change my water for 2 weeks ill give it a try.

Just joined to obtain the ultimate truth. Have gotten conflicting info on water changes.

Got tank about a month ago and still having ammonia. I've been told not to leave the fish in such a toxic environment and do back to back water changes if necessary. I have vacuumed a lot then was told this gets rid of the good bacteria while others say it doesn't.

Tank is 10G with two filters - Whisper and Aquaclear. Also hung some Ammo-chips in a bag in the water fall of one filter. no change. Using Prime for water changes. Am averaging about 10% maybe 20% every two days. Lots of plants floating around and two planted.

Have 5 gorgeous Cardinals but won't add anymore until I get cycled - could this be psycheld instead?

Thanks for listening.

What ever happened to mystix? (OP)

My tank was cloudy for weeks. Tried extra water changes, Stress Zyme, etc. etc. Nothing worked. All common water condition indicators were OK. Searched the web for solutions and found Eco-Bio Block. $45 or $55 seemed too expensive. So I bought an AquaClear BioMax filter insert for ~$4, rinsed it in non-chorinated water, added it to the filter path (Eclipse) and poured a Stress Zyme dose on the BioMax. In about 4 days the white cloudiness was gone. I'm happy. My fish seemed happy with or without the cloudiness.
