Thats the problem is people think 12 years is good. Fish are animals, what if your dog only lived 5 years? It's terrible people have the mentality like you.

Many breeds of dogs have life expectancy's of 5 or 7 years. AND THE EEL IS NOT DEAD YET! So stop *****ing that 12 years isn't very good. He will live for many more years very healthily.

He can be healthy, but still is dieing faster in freshwater than he would in brackish. That is a scientific proven fact. You look foolish for arguing that.

Your encouraging others to slowly kill an eel in freshwater as well, maybe you should step back and look at what your promoting.

If you take it upon yourself to own an animal you should try to keep that animal in the most natural enviroment as you can. Its not very fair or healthy to the animal if you do not. You science teacher should be smarter then that. It does not matter if it looks healthy sooner or later it will die a premature death.:(

He's twelve and perfectly healthy. He must be dying extremely slowly. Almost as slow as if he was fine.

obviously that science teacher is teaching you.

The eel is fine. It has lived a long life and will live for many more years. Be as arrogant as you want but that doesn't change the fact that many brackish fish can live very long and healthy lives in freshwater.

An obscene number of dead puffers beg to differ. For all you know, you science teacher has salt in his/her tank and her you are advocating people put them in fresh. But then again thats why you are still a youngling....
