k i took out all the media and turned on the filter and the impeller is fine. Nothing is pumping out even when the water is in the canister.

Did you follow the step-by-step directions I gave you earlier? Empty it out, start over, follow those directions. Then report back.

If necessary could someone please tell me the location of an eheim repair shop located inthe u.s., because the manufacturer guarantees the filter for 3yrs and i've only had it for 3months.

open both ends of the output and input.....take the end of the hose that takes water out of the tank and jsut liek you would start a syphon on a waterchange move it up and down in water until it starts to pumb.......Same thing happens with mine

BTW BEST FILTERS EVER

i seriously took the filter into my favorite fish store because they sell eheims and the guy who owns the store took a look at it and said it was a manufacturing error and for me to call eheim's north american section so i may get a new one. He said some of the seals are no good because the impeller fine and valves are open so the seals are allowing air in the filter. So anyways i called eheim already and they said they would send me a new one.

I have several, and I have to say I don't agree that they are any worse than the Classic or Pro II series.... Too each his own though.

Makes me curious: What size tank, any other filters, and do you have problems with floaties?

Thanks a bunch,
HarleyK
