I setup everything today and cannot get this filter to work-- it sounds like it is on but no water comes out of the outlet and no water is in the intake-- cannister is fully filled with water but i simply cannot get this filter to work--PLEASE HELP

did you push the button on top to fill it or did you fill it then try aand turn it on?

i used the priming button on top but i had to keep pushing it or else the intake hoses wouldnt stay full with water and the cannister wouldnt fill-- then after i got it all filled i plugged it in and it makes noise but no water is coming out the outtake or coming in through the intake-- dont know what to do

try pressing the prime button a few times while it is on, sometimes mine takes a bit more priming than what is recommended. also you can fill your intakes by unscrewing the cap and filling them with water.

i will try filling the intakes with water-- and yes i tried to push the primer while it is on and nada-- i cant get anything to happen-- this filter was supposed to be real easy and the best-- now i not so sure-- what if this doesnt work

if you fill both intakes with water and prime it well and it still doesnt work then check for any obstructions,, also check that your flow valve is all the way on,,,all the way to the left.

I would fill with the valve all the way open,, it shouldnt take too much water, if it does then your canister isnt full of water.

ok filled the hoses and primed it up-- then i plugged it in and it worked for about 5 seconds and now it stopped working again-- wtf?

must have a air pocket, keep priming it. make sure the caps are tight .. a new filter sometimes has lots of air bubbles on the media
