Is the pond bucket sitting at the same level as the 2080, I remember when I came round I couldn't see the pond bucket

I remember going away that I'll set something similar but just couldn't get my head round how the water flows from the pond bucket to the 2080, so the head is the top hole right? and the pipe sizes are different so do you just squeeze the eheim pip into the pond bucket etc?

I guess its a slow flow from the pond bucket back to the 2080?

ah yes, I got a parking fine that day. I bought a parking ticket and parked up but surprise surprise I parked in the one spot that the parking ticket did not cover ggggrrrrr ( at the council )

the eheim hose is 16-22mm the pond bucket is 19mm if you put the eheim hose ends in boiling water for a few mins it fit snug then put jubbi clips

the head of the bucket has a directional in and out the in is higher than the 2080 head so the water runs free

its also best if you use eheim double taps to make it easyer to take the pond bucket out when you clean it once per year

Thanks I might give it a go as wanted some more mechanical filteration on my tank and also I am stealing your idea of having 2252's as well, you seem to have the best filteration I have seen by far using filters (although Mark also had crystal clear water but he was using 2 x FX5's)

I seem to go round to everyone's just to see their filteration on their tanks

Also, now have a banja red aro that was given to me

It doesnt have a pump so its not really a canister per say, just a container with mech and bio filtration that is gravity fed into the eheim.

the good thing about the 2080 is it has 2 x intake pipes

if you were to to this on any other filter you would be cutting back on the amount of crap that was getting to the media to feed it

T1, you don't have to have solid waste to feed BB. Most waste is already dissolved in the water. Ammonia is constantly being excreted by a fish's respiration process, and any decomposing solid waste dissolves its organic contents in the systems water.
