Yes, a 2262 is going to hold a LOT more filter media and have a faster flow than a FX5.

Not quite correct.

The 2262 will hold more bio media than the fx5, but it's operating flow rate is around half that of the fx5. This is not a bad thing as more contact time with the media = more efficient bio media, It is less effective at mechanical filtration than the fx5, and the fx5 costs approx 40% less to run.

I picked up a new FX5 with 4L of Pond matrix. Working great so far.
